USA Africa Dialogue Series - Of careers and Job creation in Nigeria

£45.00 . a good book on Careers and job creation for nigeria
i would like to recommend the book ,CAREERS 2023.626 pages.500 careers and costs 45 pounds. the book explores 500 careers in the united kingdom. it starts with 1 qualification and courses 2 type of person suited for the work 3 working conditions 4 future prospects 5 advantages and disadvantage and renumeration etc
there are 23 milion nigerians unemployed for a whole set of reasons. this book should be of interest to management consultants. guidance and cunseling experts ,politicians and their researchers or assistants. the societally conscious like lawyers, Doctors, accountants, engineers, clergy, teachers and professors, particularly vice chancellors.
you ask me why all these? because there is no silver bullet, the approach is to create one job at a time.so i think
let me start from no where in particular, from this book i see that the london chamber of commerce and industry issues some kind of certification to a low level to a middle level job, then i ask, what about the lagos chamber of commerce are they involved in any such certification. if they are then they deserve from me a keg of palm wine.
i saw another job ,medical admnistrator or receptionist ,they have an associaton or institute ,providing training of course, so you have several professional institutes ,minor and major, recognised by law and the organised private sector in uk. only yesterday i read about the charteed institute of risk managers of nigeria as personified by FOLAKEMI FATOGBE .just founded, why did it take 62 years of nigerian independence to have a chartered institute of risk management.
this is one of the reasons why i am presenting this book to see if we can come up with other relevant institutes ,associations or societies.
I also recommend this book for the family library, the old boys and old girls association and of course the 300 public libraries in nigeria and all the libraries in our tertiary institutions not forgetting the all nigeria conference of school principals, they might all find this book useful not only in planning for their own children individually but in making the necessary demands on our elected representatives. #management #job #work #careers #medical #law #planning #training #future
