Ken:
Are the powers not bashing one another?
Did they not do the same in the 19th century, and meeting at Berlin to agree not to fight one another but to partition?
What information control is Wagner doing that the US does not do?
Why can't they share Africa: Wagner takes the Sahel, France takes North Africa, the US Central Africa to South Africa?

Subject: USA Africa Dialogue Series - Wagner propaganda
This article in Le monde spells out how russia/wagner has used trolls and payments to buy popular support for its efforts in africa.it devotes itself to demonizing the french and extolling russian support. In this way, dictatorial regimes, from central africa to mali, are propped up by mali, and make enormous payments in minerals, wood, or beer.
I can't think of a worse scenario since independence in any african country, not even with neocolonialism and its imbalances.
Two reports show this: https://www.lemonde.fr/international/article/2023/07/28/faux-medias-et-reseaux-sociaux-au-c-ur-de-la-machine-de-propagande-russe-en-afrique_6183719_3210.html
In the first, details concerning trolling, payoffs to african news sources or publication sites, the massive wagner investment in influencing public opinion so as to accept wagner's interference and then take over of mines, factories, and in propping up the government.
The second demonstrates this in central african republic.
I wondered why the demonizing of france was tied to wagner's take-over of african states and resources, and now it makes sense. This fits the russian propaganda and i fueled by their immense machinery of falsifying reality using the internet.
in this way autocracy continues to gain its foothold in african states, not based on african needs or values, but in paying off mercenaries with the blood of african resources. It is incomprehensible to me how african scholars could be duped by this blatant take-over.
