I want to dwell on igba keji orissa with regards to the explanation given by Sophie oluwole on the identity or nature of orissa.
According to Sophie oluwole orissa are not gods they are perhaps more closer to saints than they sre to gods they are people of exemplary conduct.. not godssecond in command to the orissa. Orissa are not gods.
The European colonial masters seem to have wronged labelled kings kings are not obas and obas are not necessarily Kings . Nkings are like Mayor of towns and cities and so a call for constitutional roles for obas. There is only one king in England but in migeria we claim to have Kings of local governments
They are better referred to as Mayors but the Constitution puts the power of mayor in the hands of the governor. We should take the power of mayor from the governor and let mayors play their part.thsts one reason nigeria is not working perhaps.
