I think this is a wonderful development.
The various pidgin languages of the world—or creole tonques—are very very vulnerable, and merit our strong support. The beginning of the study of cameroonian pidgin, and then of its literature, began as i was there in the 70s. It met and continues to meet resistance. I think that was even more the case in francophone africa, and much less the case in the caribbean. Haiti is a kind of model for that preservation of Creole.
