USA Africa Dialogue Series - Mbari Art as sacrifice And wole Soyinka

Mbari simply means art as sacrifice and  it is fir the most part associated  with the igbo thunder god Amadioha. The yoruba equivalent being Shango  the spouse to  oya goddess  of the rivers. 

I called Herbert wigwe son of Shingle Wigwe  son of the River becsusevthe oya festival  or osun festival starts  on his birthday  august 15  and ends 20 of August. 

His mother is a nurse so the humanity of the osun goddess and his father an electrical engineer  the sango  essence.

It was at number 7 adenoma Street  kongi layout  bodiĵa ibadan nigeria where I first got to see flesh and blood wole soyinka  who coincidentally is known as kongi coincidentallly my  neighbour bon the same floor  was the  to become  general manager of NTA  ibadan  first  television  station  in Africa.he would have been constantly  in touch with Shingle Wigwe father to Herbert wigwe

Direct line  of succession  from shango deity of lightning  transited  on April 22.2022 That day but  a different  year  world earth day was published  another book on mbari.

40 plus years ago, at the university  of ife where i was an undergraduate I met 52   professors

  From california looking for professor wole soyinka.

They were full  of questions  on  ooni of  ife and alaafin  oba lamidi adeyemi. 

I had worked on mbari and my friend with me olatunbosun oni

Had a Hewlett Packard  calculator  perhaps the only one  on campus. 

 David Packard co founded Hewlett Packard and founded mbari  standing  for montmorency Bay area aquarium research institute. 

So on the yoruba side you have  sango electricity/ osun River  and california  similar    electronics/ aquatic research.
