USA Africa Dialogue Series - THIS WORLD IS RULED BY PSYCHOPATHS AND SADISTS (5) - S. KADIRI

With the Bretton Woods Final Act ratified at Savannah Conference in Georgia, USA, in March 1946, and which led to the control by the US of the emerging International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), later known as World Bank, and coupled with the acceptance of Marshall Plan by Western European countries, the US had the heads of Western European countries, especially the colonialists, firmly under her armpit. USA was a colony of Britain founded initially to settle British convicts sentenced to prison for crimes of want caused by poverty at home. However, US soon outgrew her parents to declare independence in 1776.

It is noteworthy that the American declaration of independence in 1776 was preceded by the Seven Years' War, 1756 - 1763, fought between an alliance of Britain, Prussia and Hanover against an alliance of France, Austria, Sweden, Saxony, Russia and Spain. France and her allies were defeated leading to the Treaty of Paris, 10 February 1763, whereby France formerly ceded her North American colonies including 'New France' the present day Quebec in Canada to Britain. Although Britain won the Seven Years' War, she was militarily weakened to the extent that the US colony could wrestle down her British parent militarily to claim independence in 1776. Similarly, after the First World War that ended with Versailles Treaty in 1919, European colonialists, especially France and Britain, were militarily weakened but United States was not aware of it until later. And when the US became conscious of the military weakness of the European colonialists, she prayed for another World War so that she could takeover world leadership from the European colonialists. It was in that spirit that an American by name, Ludwell Denny, wrote a book in 1930 titled, "AMERCA CONQUERS BRITAIN." Therein, he wrote among others, "We were Britain's colony once. She will be our colony before she is done, not in name, but in fact. Machines gave Britain power over the world. Now better machines are giving America power over the world and Britain..... Of course, American world supremacy is rather horrible to think about. But American supremacy can hardly be worse than British and others gone before .... What chance has Britain against America? Or what chance has the world?"

The claim of Ludwell Denny that America had overtaken Britain in producing better machines to become number one world imperialist is reminiscent of economic sanction imposed on the US after the declaration of independence in 1776 whereby the British Parliament enacted series of laws prohibiting the export of the new machines, plans or models of them, from the country. Skilled men who worked the machines were forbidden to leave England under penalty of a heavy fine and imprisonment. However, a worker in one of the English factories, Samuel Slater, secretly escaped into the United States in 1789. He carried the plan of the new machine in his mind. At Pawtucket, Rhode Island, he set up the first complete mill for spinning yarn on the Arkwright plan; the machines he designed and constructed from his memory. The Industrial Revolution was thereby brought to the United States of America against the wish of Britain.  When in 1930, Ludwell Denny wrote his book triumphantly titled, "AMERICA CONQUERS BRITAIN" because the US had outflanked Britain industrially and militarily, there was no war. The US was only rubbing her palms together in prayers for World War II to break out at the end of which she would upstage European colonialists, especially Britain and France, through the establishment of new World Orders under its leadership.

After the Bretton Woods Final Act was ratified in 1946 followed by the British and other West European countries' accepting Marshall Plan in June 1947, The Economist of August 23, 1947 remarked, "For the present, the Americans still retain the power to make British Government jump through any hoop they want." Britain had thought that by being subservient to the USA who had the whole of South America as her sphere of influence would not care about European colonies in Africa and Asia. On the contrary, United States was asking for influence all over the world that was proportional to her military might at the same time that the Soviet Union was encouraging colonised people to revolt against their colonizers after World War II. In the New York Times of January 11, 1949, its Geneva Correspondent reported thus, "The high living standards of Europe are certainly to a degree dependent upon the availability of raw materials and cheap labour in Asia and Africa. Although old-fashioned colonial imperialism is considered outmoded a recovering Europe cannot do without sources of wealth (from Africa and Asia) menaced by the USSR's new drive for popular democracy." The outmoded old-fashioned colonial imperialism mentioned by the New York Geneva correspondent was a popular refrain from leading political elites in USA at that time in asking the colonialists to grant political independence to the colonies while retaining the economic power in the hands of Western Powers led by the USA. As Western Europe colonialist were resisting US pressure to decolonise partially, John Gunther wrote an article titled, 'INSIDE EUROPE' in the New York Herald Tribune of February 3, 1949, part of which stated, "It is my honest belief that if American aid were withdrawn from Greece, the Greek Government could not survive ten days. Nor could the governments of France and Italy survive more than a few weeks or months."  As the fight against the European colonialists raged in Asia, except in India where Britain had been forced to concede Independence in 1947, Times wrote an editorial on March 1, 1949, titled: Far Eastern Front, with the following observation, "The revolutionary movements in Eastern Asia as a whole - ranging from North China down to Indonesia and northward again to Malaya and the Burmese hills - are changing the world strategic and political map. The destinies of nearly a thousand million people are being shaped. With Communists either in the leadership or striving towards it, the challenge to Western security is at least as great as if AFRICA were in ferment." Western security here means the security of the United States of America and Western Europe. Why should Asians' (Easterners) resistance against being colonised by Westerners be regarded as challenge to Western Security? And what is Western Security? One has to remember that before the outbreak of World War II, there was no Western Security but individual European country's security, maintained by owning colony or colonies from where they got raw materials and foodstuffs to feed their nationals. That fact is buttressed by the speech of the German Prime Minister, Herman Goering, at a public rally on October 30, 1936, "In these four years we Germans have tried to work to feed our people, although we have no colonies. Although raw materials are lacking ....... You know my dear fellow-country-men, ......., that in spite of all the increased security of our food supplies not all our food requirements can be met in Germany, whatever efforts we make. In Germany there are 136 people to the square kilometre. In England there are 137 people to the square kilometre. For these 137 people to the square kilometre England owns a third of the world as colonies, and we own nothing! If we had a fraction of these COLONIES, then we should have no need to talk of a shortage of RAW MATERIALS AND LACK OF FOODSTUFFS  (p.16-17, The Nazi Conspiracy by Emile Burns)."

Obviously, United States was striving to create collective security whereby raw materials and foodstuffs would continue to flow to Westerners (Western Europe and USA) from Africa and Asia without each Western country owning colonies. France and Britain disagreed with the USA neo-colonial design and France, which was completely occupied by the German forces during World War II, returned to Asia to forcibly reclaim her so-called French Indo-China colonies namely, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam, from which she was ousted by the Japanese during the World War II. Winston Churchill on his part was inciting US to use atomic bomb to stop the USSR from instigating colonised people to rise against colonialists but US prioritised, instead, the establishment of neo-colonialism and reserved the use of atomic bomb of which she had monopoly until later date. On April 4, 1949, USA with its military might under President Harry S. Truman, coerced Canada, Britain, France, Belgium, Netherland, Luxemburg, Denmark, Iceland, Italy, Norway and Portugal into signing a military pact named North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO). The primary purpose of NATO was to combat Communism. On August 29, 1949, Soviet Union successfully exploded atomic bomb, thereby breaking the monopoly of the US over the possession of that deadly weapon. Mr. Julius and Mrs. Ethel Rosenberg were later tried in the US for Nuclear Treason and sentenced to death for delivering nuclear secrets to the Soviet Union. In China, the war for power between the Communist Party led by Mao Tse-tung and the US friendly Kuomintang regime led by General Chiang Kai-shek raged, but by October 1, 1949, Mao was able to declare Peoples Republic of China. After the Communist victory in China, General Chiang Kai-shek, protected by the American forces, fled to Formosa in the present day Taiwan, where he did not only establish the so-called Nationalist China but lay claim to representing the whole of China. With the support of US, Taiwan represented China at the United Nations until 1971 when, through diplomatic rapprochement, President Richard Nixon conceded the right of Peoples Republic of China under Mao Tse-tung to sit at the United Nations in place of Taiwan. Noteworthy in this case is that from 1949 to 1975 when he died no election was ever held in Taiwan under General Chiang Kai-shek. Similarly when his son, Chiang Ching-kuo, inherited power in Taiwan in 1975, no election was ever held in Taiwan till his death in 1988. Neither Kai-shek nor Chin-quo claimed that Taiwan and China mainland were two separate countries, rather their claim which the US supported was that they represented the whole of China, both mainland and the surrounding Islands. Since 1971, Taiwan ceased to be a country and a member of the United Nations as most countries of the world recognise Taiwan as a province in Peoples' Republic of China.

When Japan annexed Korea in 1910, there was no divided North and South Korea as two separate countries. There was only a Korean people and a nation with a single language and culture. During the World War II, Korean Communist party organised resistance against Japanese colonialism. With the capitulation of Japan on September 2, 1945, Korea was to become independent but the Southern part was quickly occupied by the US leading to the Korean War, 1953, in which the US and her Western allies fought to keep the country divided up till today. In 1954, French colonialism met its Waterloo at Dien Bien Phu when the French forces were defeated by Vietminh forces led by General Vo Nguyen Giap in Vietnam. At the following peace conference in Geneva, France recognised Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam as independent countries. However, because of the military situation in Vietnam, the country was temporarily divided along the 17 degrees altitude between the North and the South pending election that was to be held in 1956. Fearing that the Communist who had fought the Japanese and later the French would win the general election in Vietnam, General Ngo Dinh Diem supported by the USA rejected the planned election and declared South Vietnam a separate country. USA eventually got deeply involved in Vietnam war and after deploying 540,000 American soldiers and all its military arsenals except nuclear weapon America could not subdue the Vietnamese. USA was forced to withdraw from Vietnam in 1973 and by 1975 Saigon, the capital of South Vietnam was captured by the Nothern forces and Vietnam became a united country with its capital in Hanoi. It is remarkable that the US and its Western allies considered their attempt to split Vietnam into two countries as they did in Korea was in the interest of Western security yet, neither US nor Western Europe shares geographical boundaries with Asia.

After World War II, Western Europe, Britain and France in particular, refused to accept the tutelage of the US to shift from direct colonialism to neo-colonialism whereby political power to govern on behalf of the US and its Western Allies' economic interests would be given to Western educated indigenous people in the colonies. Since the economic interests of the US and Western Europe outside Europe were the same, neo-colonialism would neutralise the effect of communist agitation, the US believed. In the Times Editorial of August 29, 1951, the power of the USA was exposed partly as follows, "Over two-thirds of the globe, along the great arc stretching from Europe to Japan, no treaty can be signed, no treaty can be forged, no decision can be made without the approval and support of the United States Government. Only the great Communist bloc is impervious." The reality of the above Times' Editorial became obvious in 1956, when France, Britain and Israel invaded Egypt militarily following President Gamel Abdul Nasser's nationalization of Suez Canal. It was then that the US Secretary of State, John Forster Dulles, talked about old-fashioned colonialism with regards to the invasion of Egypt by Britain, France and Israel over the nationalisation of Suez Canal in Egypt. The UN backed resolution supported by the Soviet Union, while the US abstained, asked the invaders of Egypt to withdraw their troops immediately to which the invaders complied. Thenceforth, Britain and France accepted USA's neo-colonial design to replace direct ownership of colonies by individual country in Europe. That Israel participated in the invasion of Egypt in collaboration with Britain only illustrated why Britain spear-headed the creation of Israel in 1948. In view of the current Holocaust being perpetrated in the name of Israel against the Arabs in Palestine, I will begin part VI of "This World is Ruled by Psychopaths and Sadists," by bringing to the fore who committed Holocaust against the European Hebrews, often contemptuously referred to as Jews by Europeans, and who up till date are being penalised for holocaust.
