It's at such a venue that it should be interesting to hear what more Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah who often wades in on political issues - at least national issues - what more he has to say on this global issue , even if of late, the Vatican under the earthly direction of Pope Francis has not been as vociferous in condemning - in the name of Jesus, the daily massacre, as would have been expected…

You are of course familiar with the parable of the shepherd who goes out in search of one lost sheep ?
Not that I'm remotely suggesting that the Chosen People's great Benjamin Netanyahu is a good example or a good equivalent of the "Good Shepherd", the people's shepherd or indeed the people's poet. As you know, one man's meat is another man's poison, one man's freedom fighter is another man's jihadist terrorist, one man's Muhammad is another man's Moses, one man's Lion of Allah is another man's Joshua, one man's Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery is another man's Adolf Hitler just as one man's Netanyahu is the other man's Satanyahu.
Poetically speaking, that kind of critique of the latter is of course said to be anti-semitic , as anti-Semitic as Amiri Baraka's poem Somebody Blew Up America…

Vengeance is Mine, saith the Almighty. In the meantime some of the " God gave us the land" rabbis are cheering Netanyahu on. Indeed, without any conditions, God probably gave "us" and not "them" the land - handed it to us on a platter, if need be to be defended and protected by hypersonic ballistic missiles, cyber attacks, and nuclear bombs.
N.B. : There's also the Buddha-Nature and a quality known as compassion
Netanyahu's critics say that the minute the war ends he's going to be facing the music about the corruption charges that are pending and will be weighing heavily against him, and that's why he would like the war to go on, if necessary, to the last syllable of recorded time or "for as long as it takes"
Before the end of forever, if post-Apartheid South Africa were to have their way and the necessary sway, there are potentially, the piles of evidence of war crimes - the mass slaughter, and evidence of other crimes against humanity that are being collected daily in Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon, that should be weighing more heavily against him, his conscience & his crew, both at the ICC and on the Day of Judgment.
With regard to the Israeli hostages, to my understanding, Ahavat Yisrael and the overriding imperatives of PIKUACH NEFESH are what should have been sizzling in Commander-in-Chief Binyamin Netanyahu's overheated leadership / Prime Ministerial brain.
Based on the doctrine of self-interest, we are to assume that if the Israeli hostages had included Netanyahu's wife, his rose petal, Sara Netanyahu and his children, his precious darlings Yair Netanyahu, Avner Netanyahu, Noa Netanyahu-Roth and his three grandchildren, then he wouldn't have been dragging his feet about a peace deal and getting the hostages released
In 1996 there was the Qana massacre and when a considerably weaker Hezbollah managed to "return fire", relatively feeble fire , I remember the video footage of Shimon Peres at Cana, examining the remnants of one of their katyusha rockets that had been shot down, and asking, disdainfully, "Is this what they call a rocket ? We ( Israel) have real rockets !" Much like that film scene in " Crocodile Dundee" in which Crocodile Dundee says "That's not a knife ", takes out a bowie knife and says - "That's a knife" - a real knife
What is there to win in this genocidal war between puny force ( Hamas ) firing their firecrackers, and overwhelming force, in genocidal action, being currently represented by the IDF against a totally besieged Gaza enclave, being attacked by land Sea and air , by Israeli tanks, hypersonic missiles, 2,000-pound bombs and in total, over 75,000 tonnes of bombs dropped on little Gaza that has no air force, navy, tanks, or Iron Dome.
So, who is David ? Netanyahu? Biden? Kamala chirping her mantra "Israel has a right to defend herself" after murdering over 42.500 Palestinians, half of them women and children
