Gloria in excelsis Emeagwali,
It begins with love and respect for our mothers and that's why I don't want to quarrel with you. I understand that some women have been at the buttend of all kinds of ribaldry, unsavoury, sexist comments, and that's where you're probably coming from.
"You got innocent men in jail, your insane asylums are filled…You got men who can't hold their peace and woman who can't control their tongues…The rich seduce the poor and the old are seduced by the young…Adulterers in churches and pornography in the schools…You got gangsters in power and lawbreakers making rule" (When You Gonna Wake Up)
Such important matters; you don't take Kamala to task for disrespecting her political rival Donald Trump, but you want to take me to task for merely referring to "her curvaceous very feminine buttocks" ? I'm sure that even Trump will agree with me that there's basically nothing wrong - per se - with her femininity.
"a bitter, sarcastic, body-shaming, insult."?
"Frailty, thy name is woman !" Whatever next ? Over there in your Connecticut, May the First Amendment protect the menfolk, the Lenny Bruce people whose poetic licence and freedom of expression you want to take away. Admit it : You want to silence and oppress. You want to intimidate them all with some " We Should All Be Feminists" and some Black African Feminist Gobbledegook about "toxic misogyny"
You're going to expunge the better part of Great Literature - Chaucer, Shakespeare's Bawdy, Rabelais, Joyce, D.H. Lawrence, Henry Miller, J. P. Donleavy, James Baldwin, Philip Roth's Portnoy's Complaint on grounds of "toxic misogyny"? May God save the so called Sexist Male Writers too
Long live Mr Macaroni
I guess it's cultural : Some guys simply can't resist saying Mashallah on beholding what a Scotsman would refer to as a bloody good looking woman, seeing a woman well endowed with what the Saro people refer to as a magnificent ashasha, the Pentecostals among us spontaneously erupting into the equivalent of Mashallah, which is " Praise God!" - from whom all blessings flow…
During the 2008 presidential campaign ( Brother Obama vs John McCain) it got to the stage when Brother Obama was wrongfully accused of referring to McCain's running mate Sarah Palin as a pig, when all that Brother Obama actually said was
" You can put lipstick on a pig , it's still a pig. You can wrap an old fish in a piece of paper called change. It's still gonna stink "
This lipstick on a pig remark, resulted in a huge fallout - at Israpundit which was mostly pro-McCain, Ted Belman said that Obama would "rue the day ! "
I could only recombobulate Gertrude Stein : "Rose is a rose is a rose"
The two months later it was all over and to one of the the supporters of the sour grapes losers I only had this to say
BLITZER: Do you think Hillary Clinton would make a good president?
CHENEY: No, I don't.
BLITZER: Why?
CHENEY: Because she's a Democrat. I don't agree with her philosophically and from a policy standpoint.
Luckily I can tell the differencebetween a hearty eulogy toa curvaceous backside, from abitter, sarcastic, body-shaming,insult.

Some of the good people are fond of quoting Theodor W. Adorno :
"To write poetry after Auschwitz is barbarism"
Praise the Lord that Chidi is a poet and not a barbarian
(Gloria in excelsis seems to take offence when a man praises
Kama's bottom. This is all I want to ask her : So when a man
Praises a woman's curvaceous blessings all you can say is
"Stop right there! If this isn't toxic misogyny, I don't know what is."?
So a man is not supposed to praise a woman's bottom? It's not
Allowed? Is it another example of the uses and misuses of poetry -
including this kind of praise poetry:
"An hundred years should go to praise
Thine eyes, and on thy forehead gaze;
Two hundred to adore each breast,
But thirty thousand to the rest;"
Chidi,
This is not love or poetry :

The masterminds of these attacks would now embed themselves in densely populated areas, in schools, hospitals, refugee camps, etc, and we would soon start shouting "genocide!".
