Re: USA Africa Dialogue Series - Re: No one can control him

Your last line is an eschatological error. History is not stationary, as in something coming to pass. The slave trade began in the 15th century and lasted till the 19th. Yes, it stopped, but the human suffering for hundreds of years during and after is enormous.

As I tell my Nigerian people, living in an age of greed, things may continue for decades into the future with enormous damages.

If Trump creates a new ideology of power—manifested as in his most recent extreme statement that Palestinians should be relocated elsewhere—even if Trump leaves in four years, the damage is enormous. Ethnic cleansing is what he is talking about. This may trigger recolonization, including of various African countries.

Yep, a new Sheriff is in town. The godfather now watches the streets. Only the street-smart and the wise are equipped to survive. It's a four to eight year journey. Fasten your seatbelt, brace for the impact - the journey may be bumpy, and clouds may impede the vision, but, as my old rhetorics friend in Wisconsin used to say, "Go read the line in your bible; it always comes to past; nothing ever comes to stay!" The 1969 work of Niyi Oniororo still holds the truth, when it is titled, "Persevere, Dear Brother." Essentially, this, too, shall pass!

We are witnessing the emergence of the Techno-State. Its forms will be visible, as in the technofeudalism that the Musk-Trump alliance represents, and some will be invisible, as in the technosurveillance that Gates/WHO represents.

You can no longer use the textbook paradigm of the state and the rich to analyze this emerging situation.

Break down your expenses—the state gives you the money, and three people collect it back from you: the mortgage company, the car dealer, and the grocery store owner. Even many do not understand this older form, now with a powerful layer on top.

Break down your behaviours, emotions and values—they have shifted from the traditional to the control by the state.
