USA Africa Dialogue Series - Invitation to Professor Paul Zeleza's Birthday Conference in May 2025

We are excited to invite you to attend the 70th Birthday Celebration Conference for Professor Paul Tiyambe Zeleza who currently serves as Senior Advisor for Strategic Initiatives in the Office of the President and Professor of African Studies in the College of Arts and Sciences at Howard University.  Professor Zeleza's decades-long tenure in higher education have produced dozens of books, scholarly journal articles, and book chapters.  Professor Zeleza has the rare ability to combine his scholarly prowess with outstanding administrative skills.  He demonstrated these in his roles as college principal, center director, department chair, dean, vice president, and vice chancellor (president).  He continues to do this in his position at Howard University.  
 
The conference will serve as an opportunity to honor and recognize the many years of dedication, commitment, and work he has contributed to higher education in general and the many disciplines in his research, publishing, consulting, and advising.  In addition to honoring and recognizing his many professional achievements, the aim of the conference is to showcase his pathway to leadership to current and future scholars and administrators.
 
Please find attached the Call for Papers that provides the various fields and disciplines that will be addressed during the conference.  The conference will be
