My Problems Developing a Comprehensive Study of Nigerian Artist Bruce Onobrakpeya's Life and Work
-- Oluwatoyin Vincent Adepoju
I've been facing challenges on this project with information reaching me through a contact I asked to help me speak to Bruce Onobrakpeya that Onobrakpeya states he does not want to to continue with the project.
This comes after he stopped taking my calls for no reason given to me.
I am continuing the project anyway.
Those Western scholars who dominate the study of African art are not spirits.
They are human beings like you and I.
Are we waiting for people from Harvard or Oxford to come and study our artists?
They have their own artists to study.
