I have read each and every blog piece since the inception of Porter's Pensées in 2013.
BTW, We (my Better Half & I) last had a sumptuous dinner with the anti-imperialist & His Better Half on the 29th of March this year - and he's a veritable devil in the kitchen, first person testimony; I can testify and certify that. Now, if indeed "a week is a long time in politics", consider : The Almighty created man on the sixth day and after that said that He needed a break and so created the Sabbath as His own Holy Day of Rest. That was the Almighty, after only six days, but just imagine how much Trump has accomplished in his first 100 days ( 14 weeks and 2 days) - even signing executive orders at the Oval Office on Saturdays and Sundays) more or less, just as Jesus told the Pharisees: Monday to Monday, " I work and My Father works"--
Perhaps, we shouldn't complain too much about the possibility of burnout as a result of Trump overworking, ( all those press conferences and the transparency of it all !) After all he's not getting any younger even if he's currently toying with the idea of continuing to Make America Great Again by running for a third term , by which time he will be older than his arch rival, Sleepy Joe Biden. But Trump is very different from Old Joe the Catholic who, just to set the record straight made the sign of the cross in Netanyahu's office over there in Jerusalem DC
Another difference :Where Joe wouldn't dare, Trump fancies himself wearing the Papal regalia
Make the Vatican Great Again !
Anyway, here's a selection from Porter's Pensées covering the period 30th April to the 5th of May ) : https://bernardjporter.com/
Why Trump? ( "There's very little more one can say about Trump. He must currently be the most famous person on the planet. (I imagine he revels in that.")
The Fifty-First State ( "Trump's knowledge of his own country's history is not very sound. If it were, he'd know that America tried to annex Canada once before, in 1812, and failed")
MAGA and Eugenics ("Around 1900 the 'science' of Eugenics was invented by Francis Galton. It was taken seriously in Germany and the southern States of America in the 1930s – as well as in Sweden, as it happens."
