Internship Opportunity: Content Creation Intern – Nigerian American Day at the Capitol
Location: Remote (Preference for Washington D.C.-based interns)
Duration: August – September 2025 (2 months only)
Stipend: $500

Do you want to build your communications portfolio while contributing to one of the most exciting cultural and political events on Capitol Hill working with Nigerian Americans?
Nigerian American Day at the Capitol is seeking a Content Creation Intern to help us document, promote, and elevate this powerful initiative celebrating Nigerian American leadership, policy advocacy, and community empowerment.
What You'll Do
Create engaging social media content (Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Twitter/X)
Capture and edit short videos, reels, and testimonials
Design flyers, graphics, quote cards, and branded visuals
Support event photography and media asset organization
Draft captions, blog posts, and newsletter copy
Attend virtual meetings and assist with real-time event coverage
Who You Are
A student or recent graduate in communications, journalism, media, or public affairs. Being enrolled isn't a direct requirement, but we would appreciate someone that has an interest in U.S. Nigeria relations, regardless of whether they are in school or not.
Skilled in Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools
Knows how to make digital content pop — short-form, on-brand, and shareable
Passionate about storytelling, culture, and civic empowerment
Reliable, deadline-driven, and excited to contribute to a high-impact event
What You'll Gain
