The very next time you invite some of your favourite African leaders to the White House, you could lecture them (Trump style) on Muntu and Ubuntu, thereby giving them the impression that you are showing them some great respect by having done your homework on such important African ideas. Just imagine how impressed they would all be ( and their folks at home too) if you were to say all that you wanted to say in Swahili, in Yoruba, Lingala, Arabic, Hebrew or Zulu !
Imagine the compliments you would receive from Zambia's Hakainde Hichilema for example, if you addressed him in his mother tongue…
There's considerable sympathy abiding with you, knowing as we do that "uneasy lies the head that wears a crown" especially in this case when the crown under our microscopic scrutiny is the wannabe Emperor of the Greatest American Empire that the world has even seen - and certainly when imagining Brer Trump's megalomaniac ambitions when it comes to greatness, by all means, such an empire should exceed the greatness of all the other Empires that have ever existed on this planet since the Almighty created the heavens and the earth

It's not so strange that before the 2024 US Presidential elections one scoured and scavenged news and opinion sources such as realclearpolitics, but now that Trump is so confidently seated in the saddle there are no ongoing comparisons with Kamala Harris who seems to have completely vanished, slinked into oblivion / semi-retirement whilst after full tenure Sleepy Joe Biden her former boss is hopefully, snoring at the moment, comfortably ensconced in well deserved, full retirement.
However, those perched on the American arc of triumph ought not to be celebrating Trump's imminent trajectory in too great haste, because if Chomsky's analysis is anything to go by, then we have to consider/reconsider and pay careful attention to what's printed in big black bold letters, like a doomsday banner suspended in space, hovering over the horizon:
