True : The World Is Too Much With Us
It's not so strange that before the 2024 US Presidential elections one scoured and scavenged news and opinion sources such as realclearpolitics, but now that Trump is so confidently seated in the saddle there are no ongoing comparisons with Kamala Harris who seems to have completely vanished, slinked into oblivion / semi-retirement whilst after full tenure Sleepy Joe Biden her former boss is hopefully, snoring at the moment, comfortably ensconced in well deserved, full retirement.
However, those perched on the American arc of triumph ought not to be celebrating Trump's imminent trajectory in too great haste, because if Chomsky's analysis is anything to go by, then we have to consider/reconsider and pay careful attention to what's printed in big black bold letters, like a doomsday banner suspended in space, hovering over the horizon:

Inter-nationally speaking, in a divided world, and even more so in a country as polarised as the United States currently roiling under the weight of their heavy-handed Donald, there are these two main camps and no neutral ground: On his side, those who along with him the fear-mongering Trump thought, "Our country is going to hell" - exactly as Chomsky put it, "To control people, make them believe they are responsible for their own misery and present yourself as their savior" - so in Trump's camp there are those who see him as their Messiah in the flesh, flatterers such as Netanyahu who is now busy nominating Trump for the Nobel Prize For Peace - so ( no foreign interference even if it's Israel that ostensibly wagging the tail as he does their bidding ) we have the three so called wise monkeys and a host of other sycophants, praise-singers, yes-men and yes-women among whom are those cowering in fear, bleating, "Why, man, he doth bestride the narrow world like a Colossus" - whilst on the other side, are those you may call iconoclasts if you will, American and non-American heroes such as Robert De Niro , and Tucker Carlson who are vehemently opposed to what they describe as his "lunacy" - somewhat reminiscent of Nero - as time is telling and time will tell : Trump's tantrums, Trump's - some say predictable or unpredictable bouts from day one in the oval chair, still with that raunchy swagger and bluster, lurching on from day to day Trump's special id : " Trump's lunacy."

It should be good to note that James Taylor was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, by George W. Bush. That was a long time ago , old news and even now we could ask, all things considered, who's the greater transgressor Trump or Nixon?
Fooled by Trump. For Trump the bully operating in his playground, everything is taken personally and at this late stage, one does not have to be a disciple of Jesus or a fan of The Defiant Lawyers Network to start asking questions about the tenuous relationship between Trump and those who accuse him of racism.
How does Trump begin to explain why he wants to deport Venezuelans to Nigeria. Does he believe -God forbid - that our Nigeria is a "sh-t hole" country ?
