9. To retaliate for Nigeria's refusal to host refugees and follow,obey and implement "the script"
10. Retaliation for China -Nigeria Relations (Another proxy war in the making  with the potential for European duplicity given Franco- American opportunistic alliances)
11. In search of a win after losses in Afghanistan, Ukraine etc.
12. To exploit the weakness of a state actor that failed to engage in domestic religious conflict resolution with the required urgency
