Fashion. Emefiele: A critique of Arise TV nigeria by Augustine Togonu-Bickersteth London England ๐ฌ๐ง may 31 2026
How can we be African and at the same time international?
Can we be Nigerians or Africans and at the same time international?
From my base here in London I find the presentation of Arise TV too Englishy. Too Americanish
. Not enough or the absence of Nigerian and African motifs and nuances.
My big brother dr Rueben Abati is perpetually in his western wedding day outfit when would he put on his traditional wedding day attire?
One thing that is amusing is the stock exchange presentation. Only 6 percent of Nigerians are on the sticj exchange .
60 per cent of Nigeria’sns gambling every day.maybe that is what Arise TV should report every day.
62 per cent of Americans own stocks and shares and 41 percent of British.
If Arise TV wants to have a programme on stock exchange they should perhaps approach things differently
if they really mean to take the nation forward.
They could have programmes in conjuction with the Nigerian investment promotion Council the NGX and the national orientation agency towards bringing more nigerians and non nigerians onto the Nigerian exchange.
Ther could also feature my senior at loyola college ibadan Bola. Ajomale executive commissioner operations for the Nigerian securities and exchange as to what's happening or why things are not happening. From time to time.i.
Bola Ajomale was with.me on the trampoline team. At loyola college ibadan .50 years ago!!Jumping up and down. Oyo state's sports festival. Stocks go up and Stocks go down. Very interesting ๐.
For instance the IPO for Dangote refinery is coming up in September. we should make a case for those who have no collateral to be given loans by the banks to buy shares in Dangote refinery. Other wise it's increasing inequality.
You should be moving to see how you can bring 50 billion dollars into the Nigerian exchange if I am to go by Dr Ayo Teriba economist it would reduce inflation to 5 per cent!
Then go and look for my sister yewande sadiku former dg of Nigerian investment promotion Council..she was voted number 2 out of all the ministries departments and Agencies. Under Buhari.
There must be something she did right.
We want to see Nigerian and African fabrics Textiles and fashion on Arise TV.including Hairdo s.
Do you agree with the Japanese when thry say: we need to be modern but we do not have to be western.?
Look we are spending 6 billion dollars importing garments in to nigeria!!
And then you are harassing my Big Brother Godwin Emefiele ex CBN Governor for having a warehouse full of sewing machines.? Which is more progressive? Which is likely criminal,?
Is my brother Godwin Emefiele going to sit behind all those sewing machines on his own or he is going to generate Jobs?
My lord chief justice of Nigeria the law should not enslave us let law instead be our slave!
. This man my big brother Godwin Emefiele has been harassed enough. He needs to be discharged an acquitted.
An where is my big sister Nike Ogunlesi? The president of the Garment and Accessories Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (GAMAN) is my big sister Adenike Ogunlesi (also known as Nike Ogunlesi). She is a prominent Nigerian fashion entrepreneur and the founder of the children's clothing brand Ruff 'n' Tumble
