USA Africa Dialogue Series - Good News! The Goal of the Film Documentary: The African Presence, Achievements and Contributions in America is reached: The National African Heritage Month Drive is On.

Hello All:

As we may know, the absence of the public presence of the African community in the US has been cited as one of the reasons the African community is not engaged on the major issues affecting African communities in the US and in Africa.  The impact objective is to build institutions (not dancing and events) with actual programs that serve constituents in order to improve the quality of life: health care; social integration; economic development, civic activism that promotes enlightened interests; cultural programs that improve the assessment and appreciation of African Arts and Culture with public and private support; and consistent leadership that address US-Africa developments.

See the end..... with credits to those who put the film documentary on track.

Brief on the Film Documentary:

Each transnational community, such as the Jewish, Asian, and Hispanics, is a master of its own narratives with context and experiential  knowledge. The Film Documentary addresses the Presence, Achievements, and Contributions of Africa Diaspora as a stakeholder population in the development of the United States and as well as a development force for Africa (transfer of brain gain). The outcomes are multidimensional from economic, civic, social, and cultural impacts. This documentary is part of the comprehensive submission for the National Proclamation of the African Heritage Month, which goes through Congress and to the President for his signature and proclamation.

The documentary would be aired on  public access television and made available to various agencies in the US, countries in Africa, and the  African Union. The importance of the  public education and public relations are significant in projecting the positive yet untold presence, achievements and contributions of Continental Africans, their impacts on African economies as well as the daily obstacles.

The film documentary would include:
1) Spotlight on African-owned business, charitable organizations and civic groups making a difference.
2) Honoring Africans servicing patriotically in US military,
3)Social Patterns in the US
4) African Heritage Month Activities and significant events around the US that project the presence of the African dynamism.
5) Partnerships with other communities in building bridges - for example, the African Americans, Hispanics, Asian and Jewish communities.
6) Organizations contributing to the projects in Africa - which will be referenced to the UN Millennium Goals and organizations contributing to the development of stable democracies and civil societies in Africa.
7)Individuals whose achievements and contributions are helping to develop the African communities in the United States.
8) Jurisdictions that officially recognize Continental Africans as a distinguishable American population.
9) African countries in the African Union, noting special attributes such as natural resources.

First, put our hands together for Mr. Guy Lingani, President of  Burkina Faso (ABURWA) Association, who has demonstrated consistent leadership in chairing the African Strategic Leadership Planning Meetings.  He will be having some able assistance.
