That's a big "if" there. The most American feature, the executive presidency, is not only found in many other democracies, but it was ordered by Murtala Muhammad. I've never heard him accused of being pro-American. It's probably something the military demanded. Not only did Generals DeGaulle and Washington order executive presidencies, but the first coupists in Nigeria wanted such a system, too. And there are plenty of differences as well as similarities.

Not only do you need to read the Nigerian Constitution, maybe you should read the American, too. It's three fourths in Article V, not two thirds.
