"We want to see mummy,
We want to see daddy,
We want to go home,
We want to go to school",
Tiny voices pleaded
To ferocious felons.

"We want ransom
Before you see mummy,
Before you see daddy,
Before you go home,
Before you go to school",
Ferocious felons fumed.

Cocks crowed
To herald morning,
Golden jubilee bells
Chimed
To herald celebrations.
Steps away
From kingdom of kidnappers
Other tiny voices
Pledged the pledge.
They sang the anthem,
They saluted the flag
Without zeal.
Their Excellencies,
Their Lordships,
Their Majesties
Grinned
Inside their protected den.
