Dear conference participants:
Please join us in beautiful Frankfort, Kentucky for our 12th Annual Southern Interdisciplinary roundtable on African Studies (SIRAS). This engaging and educational conference begins Thursday, April 7th and ends on Sunday, April 10th.
We are excited to announce a new activity addition to the 2011 SIRAS conference to help give you variety and a better taste of the riches and beauty of Kentucky: A tour of a famous Bluegrass vineyard and winery, complete with wine tasting(compliments of SIRAS), to be held at Lovers Leap Winery (www.loversleapwine.com). The tour and tasting is to be followed by a free Presidential reception at the winery. Shuttle service will be provided by SIRAS.
THIS IS A CALL FOR PROPOSALS/ABSTRACTS. Proposals are due on or before February 28, 2011. For those who have already submitted an abstract, we thank you.
Participants and non-participants are also encouraged to submit a paper for refereeing and possible submission to Notes and Records: An International Journal of African and African Diaspora Studies - : www.kysu.edu/NotesAndRecordsJournal.
