NIDO Washington Regional Leadership has, once more, stepped up in a premiere program that fosters public-private partnership between Prince George's County and the African Community with ripple effects in the State of Maryland, the region and the nation.

This Profile highlights African organizations that are engaged in meaningful collaborative activities, which influences public polices and the quality of life issues in the African community in the US - beyond dancing. It also helps in factoring the vital contribution that Africa Diaspora makes in self-reliant African development through remittances, health and socioeconomic development, and transfer of brain gain for self-reliance.
Established in 2000, NIDO in the Americas is a non-profit organization headquartered in Washington, D.C. The Nigerian government assigns a paid officer to facilitate NIDO's activities. In the Nigerian House of Assembly, there is a Committee on Diaspora Affairs the Nigerian President has a Special Assistant on Diaspora Affairs.
NIDO strives to utilize the skills of Nigerian Professionals in the Diaspora to enhance the socio-economic advancement of Nigeria, Africa,and humanity in general.
