USA Africa Dialogue Series - Turning the Tide of AIDS in Africa Campaign

I am participating in the Dare Campaign of the Stephen Lewis Foundation - Turning the Tide of AIDS in Africa. My dare is to write a poem about AIDS every week day of the month of November. I have one more entry to make, officially, that is for the 30th. I hope to continue at a more relaxed pace thereafter.

 So is this a dare

 

So is this a dare

a caring idea

a thought or deed

and taking a heed

 to turn around

and lift from aground

with your help and mine

be it with even a dime

To turn the tides

Of the scourge of AiDs

to dam its flood

and cause its blood

from flowing to cease

and for the victims gain release.
