I have had it in mind for some time now to explore and post my responses to Chidi's poems.I would like to nominate as runners up Chidi Anthony Opara, Ikhide Ikheloa and Lavonda Staples.I suggest these three beceause of their dedication to sharing their creative activity on this group and online in general. They have taken the practice of online communication and made it a personal vocation. For Ikhide, it is almost, if not a full time activity. Chidi transcends the tendency of Nigerian writers on online groups to shut themselves behind walls of collegial mutual sharing , dialoging only with each other, to share his art on a regular basis with fellow Nigerians and the world, using a medium in which immediate gain is not the goal. His art spans a range of subjects and expressive methods, including satirical, even visionary explorations of contemporary Nigerian history and religious history and the use of Nigerian pidgin. Lavonda has demonstrated in her recent self redefinition as an online philosopher, a commitment to using the electronic medium as a window into her soul, and a bridge into the minds of others.I salute Toyin Falola for his work on this group.thankstoyin--

I second this nomination and propose Toyin Adepoju as runner-up. Toyin's nomination is in recognition of his profound grasp of issues, especially literary matters.
