USA Africa Dialogue Series - Report - Reflecting on Education and Literacy 50 years after Tanzania Independence

Wapendwa  Wadau wa Elimu, Washiriki na Washirika wa Majadiliano ya Elimu na Juhudi za Kufuta Ujinga yaliyofanyika Novemba mwaka jana Mkahawa wa Vitabu Soma;

Tuwieni radhi kwa kuchelewa kuwashukuru rasmi kwa michango na ushiriki wenu kwa namna moja au nyingine katika majadiliano tajwa. Haikuwa kusudi letu. Tafadhali pokeeni salamu zetu za Mwaka Mpya pamoja na ripoti ya majadiliano tajwa: muhtasari kwa Kiingereza na kwa kirefu zaidi katika lugha ya Kiswahili. Picha za matukio mbalimbali zilikwishawekwa kwenye Facebook na Blogu mbalimbali.

Tunapenda kuwashukuru tena tukitumaini kuwa tafakuri katika majadiliano yale na mengineyo yatachochea upya ari yetu ya kuongeza juhudi za kufuta ujinga.

It has taken us rather long to  formally thank you for the various roles you played in making the event to reflect on Education and Literacy Efforts Fifty Years after Independence at Soma Book Cafe November last year. Kindly bear with us and kindly accept though belatedly our sincere appreciation for the role you played directly or indirectly to the success of the event. May those and other reflections inspire and renew our commitment to step up efforts and joint initiatives to enhance literacy in the course of the year and beyond.

With this note, kindly receive our greetings for the New Year and by attachment a summary report of the event in English and a more extensive one in Kiswahili. Some of you will receive the reports in print but it wont be cost effective for us to make it available in print for all.
