Dear Brothers and Sisters:
Each Year, Martin Luther King,Jr. Scholars are invited to speak on college campuses as well as at forums and seminars marking the birthday of the U.S. Civil Rights icon. As a scholarly spouse, we regularly co-author a publishable essay (in addition to lectures that we are invited by organizations and campuses to give).
Attached is a copy of our co-authored essay to mark the January 2013 King Day Holiday observance. For the sake of our Africa-based brothers and sisters, who may like to know the history of the King Day Holiday and its nuances, we have provided a few paragraphs of political historicity.
Please, enjoy our attached piece, with greetings for a blessed New Year ahead of us!
