My People:
We read the news daily now: Chibok, Sambisa Forest, Gworza, Damboa, now Madagali, etc., with kidnapping of girls (Where are they, by the way?) hoisting of flags, and sacking of villages here and there. Where the heck are these places in Nigeriaa anyway?
They may sound distant, like those places in Iraq and Afghanistan, but well, here below you have them......we had better "k'iye s'ara" (as the Yoruba would say) - be very watchful.
And there you have it.

Following last week's attack on Madagali in Adamawa State, the Catholic Church has complained that Boko Haram insurgents have taken over the parish rectory of its church.
That includes several houses owned by Christians.
Rev. Fr. Gideon Obasogie, the Director, Catholic Social Communications in-charge of the Maiduguri Diocese, in an electronic press statement said the outlaws seems to be drawing a line of demarcation of whom to visit or not to visit with mayhem, adding that, "in recent times, it seems that Christians and Christian institutions have been at the receiving end of the attacks by the terrorists.
He wailed overthefact that "the whole town and the parish rectory have been occupied by the terrorists, so many structures and items have been vandalised. Dozens have been killed and a lot of church structures have been burnt down".
The Revend further said that "Christians in the town are really in a terrible situation; a moment of great persecution. Christian men are caught and beheaded, while Christian women are forced to become Muslims and are taken as wives to the terrorists.
"The houses of Christians that have fled are now occupied by the terrorists; their cars are used by the terrorists. Some Muslims around identify Christian homes to be occupied and the Christians hiding were also exposed and they were killed.
"Strict Sharia Laws have been promulgated, as observed by a woman who luckily escaped the dead zone".
He added: "The situation as it is has really and truly gone out of control. People are finding it really hard, citizens are being killed in their numbers."
The clergyman expressed hope that the federal government would be more proactive in handling the dwindling state of insecurity that has overtaken the entire North-east.
Meanwhile, information at our disposal says that the Catholic Church has been compelled to close down all the parishes on the major road linking Maiduguri and Adamawa States because of the Boko Haram insurgents.
Madagali is a local government that borders Borno and Adamawa States, and the closest town to Gwoza with a large number of Catholics, and members of other Christian denominations.

Boko Haram Captures Adamawa Town, Hoists Flag
Posted by: niyi on August 23, 2014
Islamist sect Boko Haram is taking over Nigeria's northeast town by town, as it in the early hours of today stormed Madagali local government secretariat in Adamawa State, dislodging Nigerian soldiers who were guarding the facility and surrounding areas.
Madagali is about 20 kilometres from Gwoza town of Borno state, the stronghold of the Boko Haram sect.
Hundreds of the militants arrived at the local government headquarters led by armored vehicles they had earlier seized from Nigerian troops in Gwoza, Borno State, reports SaharaReporters, citing a security source.
Apart from the armoured vehicles, the Islamists were armed to the teeth with shoulder-fired rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs) and anti-aircraft mortar guns mounted on pickup vans.
Soldiers in the area were reported to have retreated once they realised the insurgents were better equipped.
An eyewitness in the affected area told Journalists in Yola that the insurgents have mounted their flags and taken full possession of some border communities of Adamawa State.
