Re: USA Africa Dialogue Series - Re: Before Voting Buhari: Twenty Things History Teaches Us

I wonder why all these hula baloo about. I may be wrong but I want to believe that this coming election if there is the expected change would start another era of political calculation in Nigeria. The fact remains that If the change clamouring for takes place and the person benefiting from the change did not do anything at the end of his tenure, it is very sure that he too would face the same problem of nonacceptance and rejection being faced by the current president.

I think we all should be happy because it is through this kind of arrangement and situation that Nigeria can/would develop. such things starts once. Why are people not realistic with their submission on the state of the nation. The beauty of DEMOCRACY is the power the electorates have in rejecting a non-performer.

Most of us here may rightly be smelling imminent ethno-religious harvest season, and that's o.k.. However, it does not appear that the APC and their supporters learned much from Dr Fayemi's defeat in Ekiti State--and he was the only non-Muslim Governor in the APC! It's neither the crowd at rallies, nor non-voting diaspora-dominated social media fundamentalists and ideologues and spatially-aligned newspaper hacks that win elections.

Edo State governor Adams Oshiomhole is a Christian and belongs to the APC.
