Laughing... please, let the Africans do the African style fundraiser after the keynote is retiring and non-Africans understand the culture....since our style comes with pomp, pageantry and titles, including chiefs, Alhajis - and announcing the donation for effect. I would have recommended a co-MC - Mishe of Cameroon!!!! but next time.....everyone will be in stitches, as he brings cheers in midst of despair and avoiding the Filmore escapade. That is another story.
Although I will not be attending due to geography, you can count on my donation. See you later in Feb. I hereby ask my Uncle Chika Onyeani of African Sun Times, Celebrate Africa, and Mama AU's Assistant to match my donation.....Cheers!
God Bless,
MsJoe
