OA. Indeed, non-partisanship should be the basic credo of any newspaper. But do you have any evidence to the contrary in this case? These folks can do anything to remain in power, except you choose to overlook the various egregious errors and willful desecration of whatever pass for ethical values of this administration. Evidences abound: The fraud in NNPC-stridently so denied by the government but which has now become a public knowledge, withdrawal of corruption cases against the son of late  Sani Abacha, centenary award to Abacha himself despite all the evils that he perpetrated while he was alive, open romance of the President himself with felons, self admission of the president that he knows that who are corrupt but that if he mention their names they will be criticism him etc etc. Let's not be sentimental in our criticism. What if Punch has evidence before publishing this story? What will you make of it?

Political news in the Newspunch must be taken with not a grain but a sack of salt. I have followed its reports for some time now. It rarely carries news that is not favorable to the APC. It seldom carries news that is not unfavorable to the PDP.  It seems unable to report political news without evident bias.
