Re: USA Africa Dialogue Series - RE: Ghana's Ex-President Rawlings on the Nigeria's Presidential Election!

GG,

Do not mind Rawlings. It was France that equipped Niger and Chad to achieve the 6 week change of fortune of the Nigerian army against BH.

The problems of Africa are deep and far more than the empty symbolism that Jerry Rawlings harks upon!

Cheers.

Absolutely well said.

That was not a good sight and may we never see it again. Clearly, the horse and cart were put in reverse order. After all, in just about six weeks the same Nigerian army with some support from neighbouring countries have decimated the powers and stronghold of Boko Haram. We did not see the French army. Over 200 girls remain missing. Never again!

STATEMENT BY Ghana's EX-PRESIDENT JERRY RAWLINGS ON OUTCOME OF NIGERIA’S ELECTIONS

April 1, 2015 by jjrawlings

jerry-photo“Nigerians have taken the lead in the rejection of corruption. The election result is a manifestation of the people’s resolve to confront corruption, dishonesty and exploitation.

This is a clear message to the new leadership. A bold step has been taken towards a new Nigeria and the incoming leader cannot be unaware of what is expected of him.

Nigerians did not vote for just anyone. They voted for a man whose integrity is extremely high. Nigeria is tired of corruption and the choice of this leader is a clear indication of where she wants to go. I hope General Buhari will put together a team whose understanding of the power of the people recognizes and respects the will of the people.

General Buhari owes it to his people and to Black Africans, the restoration of our pride and the black man’s dignity.
