WATCH: Mbaka blasts Buhari, says Nigerians will vote him out like Jonathan
02 August 2016, 15:18Enugu - Fiery Catholic priest, Rev Fr. Ejike Mbaka has severely criticized President Muhammadu Buhari over the economic hardship ravaging the country resulting from what he described as poor leadership under the Buhari-led administration.
Nigerians , the priest said are obviously getting tired adding that he campaigned against the former President Jonathan because of the widespread corruption in the last government in the hope that Buhari's administration would be better following his avowed declaration to fight corruption.
No nation, he said, could survive when the cankerworm of corruption eats deep into its social fabric as was witnessed in the past administration which informed his interest and desire to opt for a change.
The change which eventually came under the leadership of Buhari, he said , is not helping matters as poverty is ''smelling'' in Nigeria. Landlords the fiery Catholic clergy said are lamenting while tenants are hungry and frustrated.
On the agitation of militants in the Niger Delta particularly the Niger Delta Avengers, the Rev Mbaka said they are fighting a just cause and berated Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo for calling them criminals. Mbaka questioned the rationale for calling the Niger Delta Avengers criminals who are in fact fighting a just cause considering the degree of damage done to the region's ecosystem which has been feeding the nation for decades.
