Donor conference in Oslo for Nigeria and Lake Chad region on 24 February
"Increased assistance to chaos Nigeria Extremist group Boko Haram's depredations have created chaos in the North-east Nigeria. To raise money for disaster relief organizations and donor countries are are gathering for a donors conference in Oslo. "We're trying to increase funding humanitarian efforts to prevent the situation deteriorating, says Norway's Foreign minister Börge Brende. Over 10.7 million people are estimated to be in urgent need of humanitarian assistance in the area around Lake Chad, north-eastern Nigeria, northern Cameroon, western Chad and south-eastern Niger."
