The Amaka Chiwuike-Uba Foundation (ACUF) in collaboration with the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), the Knowledge and Policy Management Initiative (KAPOMI), Human Rights Volunteer Corps (HRVC) and the Nigerian Thoracic Society (NTS) have the unique privilege of inviting you to the 1st Amaka Chiwuike-Uba Annual Asthma Conference and the official launch of the Foundation holding on 6th July 2017 at Roban Hotel, Enugu by 9.30am. The Conference with the theme: "Improving the Quality of Life of Nigerians: The Role of Timely and Accurate Diagnosis and Management of Asthma" will have the former Speaker of the House of Representatives---Rt. Hon. Ghali Umar Na'Abba as the Chairman and H.E. Emmanuel E. Uduaghan, former Governor, Delta State as a Guest of Honour.
The overall objective of the Conference is to create awareness, brainstorm, educate, train and share information on the diagnosis and management of asthma as well as to officially launch the Foundation.
Amaka Chiwuike-Uba Foundation (ACUF) is a non-profit, non-governmental and charitable organization established in November 2016 in memory of Mrs. Amaka Chiwuike-Uba who died from asthma exacerbation on July 4 2016. ACUF is dedicated to improving the quality of life of people; especially, those with asthma and respiratory and allergic diseases through research, education and training, advocacy and networking. ACUF envision a society with better breathing, better living and a people that are happier, healthier, united and prosperous.
We are also requesting that you extend the invitation to the relevant Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs). Attached herewith is the invitation card for details.
