My People (to imitate Prof Bolaji Aluko):
The news of the appointment of a Commissioner for Happiness in one of the Nigerian States shows that a country can actually recede.
Okay, the Governor has the right to choose his Commissioners.
Okay, he can choose his sister. Those before him sent their wives to the Senate, and their daughters, too.
But can he not choose a title?
Does this mean that those who govern us don't know or they don't even care?
In politics, perception is carefully managed. In life, integrity is cultivated to the point of maturity.
My thinking is always wrong in all these matters.
