Moses,
Though you have made your decision to go with Nunn, you can still source for Walter Rodney's, West Africa the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade, Africa Research Group. It is a very good on the impact of the slave trade and a pamphlet of about 25 pages. I have a photocopy which i can only scan & send towards the end of the month.

Thanks everyone for your help. I forgot to mention that I was looking for something appropriate for a junior undergraduate seminar. I think I'll go with the Nathan Nunn article suggested by Sadiq Manzan and supplement it with something from Rodney.

Dr. Walter Rodney has an excellent chapter on your topic in Rodney, Walter. (1972). How Europe Underdeveloped Africa. Washington, DC: Howard University Press. (Reprinted in 1982).

Dear USAfricadialogue family,--
I'd appreciate it if anyone would refer me to a concise journal article or book chapter dealing specifically with 1) the impact of the trans-saharan trade on Africa, and/or 2) the impact of the Atlantic slave trade on Africa.
Thanks for your help.
