Re: USA Africa Dialogue Series - Re: An OPUS by SIR Toyin Falola!

Chidi Opara,

Your definition of a living legend is asinine and skewed. It is an admission of ignorance on your part and demonstration of idiocy.

How many motor park yours in your village know Woke Soyinka?  I challenge you that you hardly know any worthwhile thing about the man. To mask your ethnic bigotry and bias you throw his name in to confuse and deceive. You fool nobody but your self.

Do you Toyin Falola? Did you research about him? So you ignorantly define him out of your worthless and useless idea of a "living legend"?

So you are wiser than those who gave him that appellation? So because you share some third rate disjointed pedestrian poems here you think you can abrogate their views, opinions and judgement?

Toyin Falola is a Living Legend. I say so!  I agree with those who called him that. One day if the motor park yours of your village aspire to some learning they will discover Toyin Demola the living legend. If they perish in thuggery and ignorance like many do, they need not know him and it will not affect him as a living legend.

Cheers.

For me, a living legend is someone, apart from making his/her mark in his/her chosen profession, have also made/making a mark in the social/cultural/political sphere. Wole Soyinka is an example.

He/she would be a person whose name and endeavours can easily be recalled by those in the Ivy League institutions and also by those at the motor parks.

I hope that the names of Falola's "living legends" are also known to my socially, culturally and politically conscious friends (agberos)at Arugo Motor Park Owerri. These agberos easily remember Wole Soyinka whenever the issue of living legends comes up.

CAO.
