The number of houses owned by CJN Onnoghen and the current amount in his bank accounts are not the issues involved in his case at the CCT. Rather, the case against him is, none declaration of assets at the appropriate time as prescribed by law and when he belatedly declared his assets, he intentionally excluded the five different bank accounts at the Standard Bank of Nigeria (failure to declare plus false declaration). So far, neither the prosecution nor CJN Onnoghen himself has told Nigerians the value of money, in various currencies, he had in his quintuple bank accounts as at the time of his belated assets declaration.
Whatever report the DSS might have written or Buhari might have referred to as the amount contained in Onnoghen's dollar account is actually irrelevant to the case. The CCT is the initial instance for the trial of non-compliance with the provisions of CCB Acts and that is why Justice Onnoghen is being tried there.

There was "security report" that the suspended Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) has 55 houses, and then this; "...…...the security agencies have since then traced other suspicious transactions running into millions of dollars to the CJN's personal accounts". (President Buhari in January 2019).
Questions:
(1)Why these, when the man's assets declaration have not been verified? (2)Why were these serious matters not included in the charge sheet? (3) If the CCB have no jurisdiction to hear these charges, why was the suspended CJN not charged to a court of competent jurisdiction as well?
