I did not give the two reasons, Buhari did in his opening address to his party's NEC meeting.
I know Mugabe ruled into his 80s but Buhari is not Mugabe. Few African leaders have the extra-ordinary physical staying power of a Mugabe.
Not obeying court orders is avoidable quotidian political resorts which may have been taken to ensure the uninterrupted delivery of his mandate by those he saw as detractors.
I do not know what you mean by not reflecting federal character in appointments: his Vice President is Yoruba from South West, his Foreign Minister is Igbo from South East, his Information Minister is from the South West, his party Chairman is from the South-South. His re-election co- ordinator is from the South East.
I know people are talking of the military appointments but those are not the only possible federal appointments. His Chief of Defence Staff is from Ekiti so I do not know what the hoopla is about.
I have said not obeying court orders can be easily dealt with by returning to the courts until he does. He is only buying time for the smooth running of his administration.
Eventually he has no choice. His executives can be easily jailed for not carrying out court orders concerning their agencies or for carrying out presidential orders which have been stopped by the courts since unlike their Principal they have no immunity and Buhari knows this and he has an Attorney General.

OAA,
I too do not believe that Buhari will go for 3rd term. But not for the 2 reasons you gave here. Clearly, he will not be breaking the law if he first amends the constitution and then do what the amended constitution allows. Notably, he swore to obey the constitution. and as long as what he is doing is constitution, he will neither be breaking the law and nor sinning against his God. But this is merely hypothetical. Perhaps, you should focus less on the hypothetical and look carefully to notice that the constitution is even now not always followed as religiously as you might believe. Examples include disregarding national character provisions in political appointments and holding people in detention "illegally". So as the saying goes, "constitution does not work; it has to be worked" So if it is followed/obeyed or not depends on the workers in any given place and time.

He once said he would do just a tenure. And that he was through with electoral contest but was pulled back into the ring/fray?

Oga Olayinka,Do you essentially believe politicians? Or especially politicians who ar essentially captives of the office and subjected to myriads of Daura-like influences? Hasn't Buhari said things which he has now turned around to revoking? Is it impossible for him to revoke this sooner than he had said it?

For the avoidance of doubt and the information of the Kperogis of this world who have been insinuating a third term agenda even before the second term was won, Buhari has cleared the air: he is NOT interested.
