Re: USA Africa Dialogue Series - Re: Yoruba Affairs - Happy Birthday, Baba Falola

Thanks, Toyin F.-- may you in 2021 continue to (ALSO) feed us (as you did throughout the preceding year) WITH THE FOOD OF LIFE THAT WE CANNOT DO WITHOUT: MUSIC!

Indeed!

What else is there to say? How else could it be said? Not much! TF, the drum major for the music of our collective social and intellectual conscience and existence, needs to be celebrated, not just today, but each and everyday the sun rises and its rays fall. May the dawn of a new day be to this hero a new beginning, as if he had never started; may it be the real start of his productivity -  as if none had taken place before; and may today be his launching pad of his relevance to humanity - as if the past relevances have been a child play. In the prayer of our ancestors, "May 200 years be to TF like the passage of a single year!"

Congratulations are in order, Ojogbon Agba! you are highly celebrated. The Miliki maestro, Ebenezer Obey has put my thoughts in lyrics and sound: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SttvvjZ_oqE

Let the music play on!

For those of on this side of the pond, New Year's is still between 6 to 3 hours away.  But, we can begin to celebrate the inimitable Falola, whose birthday is some 3 and a half hours away, on January 1.

I have taken, hopefully, the first shot in a salvo of big ups and boo yaa to Falola in the attached document.

Congratulations, Chief Falola, the Muse of Round Rock!!!
