Ahmed Yerima to Interview Debo Adedayo (Mr. Macaroni)
Ahmed Yerima is a playwright, Play Director, Actor, Cultural Administrator, and Professor. He attended the University of Ife, University College, Cardiff and the Royal Holloway College, University of London for his Doctorate degree. Presently, he teaches theatre and cultural studies at the Redeemer's University. He was the Director-General of the National Theatre and National Troupe of Nigeria. And the Director-General of the Abuja Carnival. He is also an award-winning playwright who has written and published over sixty performed plays both in Nigeria and abroad. His recent plays are on three Nigerian iconic figures: Aremu, Sanusi, and Sardauna. His play, "Hard Ground," won the Nigerian-NLNG prize for Nigerian Literature. He is a Fellow of the Society of Nigerian Theatre Artistes, the National Association of Theatre Arts Practitioners, and the Nigerian Academy of Letters. He is a member of the NLNG Advisory Board for the Nigerian Literature Prize.
