USA Africa Dialogue Series - Why coup in Africa?

I think there is a big gap  in the orientation  of the politicians jn Africa and the military  as far as training,sacrifice  and leadership are concerned.

For instance  in the military  whst yhe teach them is that the  leader eats lasts  but in politics  the leader eats first.

In the military  generally  only the best  are expected to rise to the top  in politics any body can get to the too.same with religion but not with the judiciary  or nedicine. So in some instances the soldiers fèel resentment at being led by inferiors thru also have sound mind in sound bodies.they are disciplined.
