Professor Nimi Wariboko to Interview Apostle Professor Opoku Onyinah, February 4, 2024
Dr. Nimi Wariboko is the Walter G. Muelder Professor of Social Ethics at Boston University. A lively transdisciplinary thinker, he loves to unfold, refold, enfold, and energize past and present ideas and hopes in relation to the possibilities of future human flourishing. He is the author of 25 monographs, co-editor of six volumes, and multiple journal articles, book reviews, and book chapters. The six pillars of his scholarship are economic ethics, Christian social ethics, African social traditions/political theology, Pentecostal studies, continental philosophy, and literary studies. Two books have been published by different groups of international scholars on his scholarship and its impact on the global academy. In 2020, an international conference was held to discuss his scholarship. Nearly 50 scholars from all over the world presented papers on various aspects of his scholarship. Wariboko was elected to the American Theological Society in 2018. This is the most prestigious academic society of the top thinkers in theology and ethics in the United States, founded over 100 years ago, and it is open to only 100 members at any given time.
