USA Africa Dialogue Series - The Son of Mira Nair, Director of Mississippi Masala, Wins!

Khoran Mamdani, the newly elected Mayor of New York is the son of moviemaker Mira Nair, who directed Mississippi Masala movie in 1991, the year she gave birth to him. Khoran is 34 years old.  Good to revisit that movie.

It will help us understand more the antecedents of the new Mayor.  We know about Mamdani, his professorial father.  His mother is a heavyweight in progressive thinking.
