Let us suppose that just as Liberia's smooth, sweet-talking President Joseph Boakai said to Trump, "We believe in your policy of making America great again", so too some of Nigeria's wannabe-next-president-of-Nigeria would probably like to win Trump's favour and support for that enterprise by promising him that if they win the next Nigerian Presidential Election they (he / she) would like to dedicate themselves to following in his footsteps. But they had better be careful because, of course, Trump would love to listen to the beautiful type of English that says,
"Boss, I believe in your policy of making America great again, and in your diplomacy that has to do with economic development and commercial friendship", and adds " In addition to oil, just like Ukraine, we also have a lot of minerals, you could name the vast deposits of the various minerals that we have, all day long, and as good friends, one of the things we would humbly like to request is that you make a comprehensive survey of these minerals and start exploiting them , before the Chinese and the Russians come knocking on our door, trying to seduce us, by make friendship with us, boss"
The House negro and the Field Negro. A great difference.
Whilst Trump would like to hear a wannabe next president of Nigeria say, "Boss, I like your MAGA idea " as a Liberian would say, "You can bet your bottom dollah that Trump would not like to hear the wannabe next president of Nigeria saying, "I wanna make Nigeria greater than the United States of America" or " I wanna make the United States of Africa greater than your America"
There are limits to the kinds of beautiful English that Trump could tolerate….
Anyway, here's some food for thought for those who view Trump as a Presidential role model and American Democracy as is being currently practised as the gold standard :
