Ladi Adebayo
Taking Development to the Grassroots
"I opened up 7 kilometres of rural road comprising over 10 villages in Atakumosa East Local Government of Osun State.

Prior to this, the road was not motorable.
The villagers are now able to transport their goods easily to the main market in Ilesa.
Total cost: N1,620,200.
I did the road project on a personal note.
It was when I went to the town and the villagers complained that they were unable to get their goods to the market that I decided to help them out."

Clearing naked earth

The iron mouth swallows earth, carving a path for humans to pass

The villagers lounge on the new road as it steadily takes shape

The iron mouth plows on as schoolchildren look on

The iron mouth tears the earth as humans gaze at its unstoppable force

Ladi Adebayo and the villagers in a victorious pose at work's end

The villagers awaiting the outcome of the road construction process

Ladi Adebayo and another man survey progress of work

Ladi Adebayo relaxing with the villagers as the road construction goes on

The villagers and their geographical space

The earth eating machine chews deeper into the forest as the villagers look on

The villagers watch the road construction in action
